It appeared to be opened, inspected and resealed. The tiems were not perfectly packaged inside, but they were in perfect shape. The valve cover and shower head are fantastic. I have bought moen vanity handles and moen compatible vanity handles for showers in the past. Some fit poorly. Some just seem clunky. This item from the Eva series is beautifully designed. It matches the rest of the Eva accessories nicely so you can get a very finished look in your bathroom. Amazon makes this high end look affordable. I am really impressed with how nicely the handle fits the valve, and how smoothly it operates. The heft, and smooth quality is evident when you turn the handle. It is just a real pleasure to use. I take my shower experience very seriously. We tore out a cheap fiberglass unit. Boxed in the stall and put in a full custom cultured marble shower with sealed glass door for a steam shower type set up. We went with all brushed... These are beautiful and of great quality! This collection is a little pricier than similar items in other brands, but I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." They are worth the price - they really made my whole bathroom look so much better. The underside of the sink faucets have metal parts and the whole thing just feels very sturdy and I think it will last for years to come. Another reviewer said that the trim ring scratches the shower-head pipe. Mine didn't. Maybe it was user error? Anyway, the roman tub and shower trims were an easy switch from the Moen Chateau collection (which had ugly clear plastic handles!) that I originally had in my house. If your original faucets have the M-PACT valve system (like mine did) then it's just a few simple screws and voila! You have beautiful new bathroom fixtures.
