It is a combo that allows you to use both the overhead shower head and the handheld head at the same time. By turning a lever on the overhead shower head, you can select overhead, handheld, or both. The heads are very wide and provide a much larger stream of water than you get with normal sized fixtures. Also, the hose connecting the handheld to the overhead shower connection is very flexible and longer than standard fixtures. (The hose of the Waterpik fixture that I was using was shorter and much stiffer.) The overhead nozzle and the handheld nozzle each have three flow settings (spray, massage and spray and massage) that can be set independently of each other.As the other reviewer noted, it would be nice if the spray had more pressure, but this may be a function of my plumbing more than a result of the nozzle design.
